Professional Bio
Sam is a Ph.D. student at the University of Sydney. His expertise lies in mathematical modelling and machine learning approaches, particularly within the domains of transportation and supply chains. He is currently working on an ARC project focused on the navigation systems of self-driving cars. In this project, he aims to embed human social norms into the navigation systems to help these cars not only obey traffic rules but also exhibit socially acceptable behaviour while sharing roads with human drivers. Additionally, Sam has joined the TRIPS project as an Artificial Intelligence researcher to carry out the technical implementation of the system.
