Artur Grigorev

Professional Bio

Dr. Artur Grigorev is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), specializing in the application of Generative AI and advanced data science techniques to transportation and incident management. He earned his Ph.D. in Information Technology from UTS, where his research focused on many aspects of traffic incident analysis including duration and impact prediction, severity classification, incident detection, and risk forecasting.  He holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and a Master's degree in Applied Mathematics with a specialization in Urban Supercomputing. 

Dr. Grigorev's expertise includes deep learning, machine learning, and computer vision applications, with a particular emphasis on traffic safety and urban mobility, such as vehicle detection, tracking and speed estimation. He has authored multiple publications in high-impact journals, including IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation Systems and Transportation Research Part C: Emerging Technologies, and has presented at leading international conferences, such as the IEEE International Conference on Intelligent Transportation Systems. 

Currently, Dr. Grigorev is focused on applying large language models to enhance traffic incident management, with an emphasis on real-time analytics that could drastically reduce response times and improve road safety.
