Bita, a highly qualified Electrical Engineer with over 25 years of professional experience, specialises in the design and implementation of Electrical and ITS devices. Her extensive expertise also extends to the development and publication of policies, guidelines, and standards related to Traffic Signals, Lighting, and ITS devices. This includes items such as Variable Message Signs, CCTVs, Coordinated Ramp Signals, Lane use Management Signs and Vehicle Detection Stations (VDS). Bita's knowledge encompasses Asset Management and the rehabilitation of Electrical and ITS assets.

 

Data Management plays big part of her role and always looks for new innovative and creative ways to manage data and has recently embarked on the application of AI and LLM to manage update and development of policies and guidelines documents.

 Her recent passion lies in the realm of Circular Economy and its application to asset replacement, maintenance activities, and creative utilization of existing infrastructure. Bita's remarkable skillset shines in strategic thinking, problem-solving, and forward planning, ensuring the successful scoping and execution of upcoming projects. Notably, she has recently assumed the role of Network Operations Planning Manager, where she is responsible for developing and updating a comprehensive suite of policies, guidelines, and the Main Roads Network Operations Planning Framework. Additionally, she is dedicated to expanding her knowledge in the areas of ITS, Mobility, and Connected Vehicles.
