Lt.Col.Tongkarn Kaewchalermtong Ph.D. is the current president of the Intelligent Transport System Association of Thailand (ITS Thailand). Renowned internationally, he has contributed significantly to the global transport community by serving on the international program committee of the ITS World Congress and the international academic committee of the ITS Asia-Pacific Forum.
Dr.Kaewchalermtong is a distinguished scholar and academic, serving as a lecturer in the civil engineering department at the Chulachomklao Royal Military Academy (CRMA). He also holds the prestigious position of chairman of the transportation and logistics working group at the ASEAN Federation of Engineering Organizations (AFEO). His extensive contributions to the engineering field include serving on the foreign affairs committee of the Engineering Institute of Thailand (EIT) and acting as an advisor to the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) - Thailand International Section. Additionally, he is the vice president of the Intelligent CCTV Association (iCA), an expert in defense policy and engineering at the Defence Technology Institute (DTI), Ministry of Defence, and an associate judge at the Central Intellectual Property and International Trade Court (CIPIT).
His expertise also extends to international organizations, having formerly advised the transport division at the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP).
